Meg Dawson

Hi, I’m Meg!

I have been in the fitness industry since 1990 when I started teaching group fitness in college. From there, I went on to create my own Personal Training business to help women build stronger, more confident bodies one session at a time. While I know exercise is an excellent avenue for many women, for others, there is work to be done before even stepping foot in the gym.

I became a Life Coach because I am passionate about nurturing the connection between your mindset and your goals. Putting together mental and physical work will have immeasurable results. I am eager to help you succeed in both.

I am married to a wonderful husband, and I am a mother of two amazing young ladies, one of whom manages her Type I Diabetes, as well as Celiac Disease, daily and with ease. For my family and me, health and wellness is a way of life. I am passionate about the physical and emotional benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

I know every client is different, and I believe that anything is possible. I meet all of my clients right where they are, and together, we work toward a life change program custom-designed for you.

My Health & Wellness Journey

When I was in fifth grade, my mom gave me a Jane Fonda diet journal for Christmas. While I think her heart was in the right place, I got the message loud and clear: I was not at an ideal weight. This marked the beginning of years and years of dieting and trying to find the right balance to be in a body I thought was good enough. At times, I would starve myself trying to lose weight, just to overstuff myself later because I was so hungry. I never felt in control or good about what I was doing.

Near the end of high school, I discovered exercise and how much I could control my weight. At a point, it became excessive and was at the expense of relationships around me. Whether it be fat-free, low carb, or just low-calorie, I have tried nearly every diet.

After years of trying, I discovered that none of these things work. The more you diet, the more damage you can cause to your hormones and your metabolism. Instead, I have now built my life around healthy habits and a healthy mindset surrounding food.
